Mid-Season Draft Rankings Released by NHL Central Scouting Service

Stamkos, who plays for the Sarnia Sting has had a great start to the season piling up 51 points in 31 games so far this season. He was also a key member on the Canadian National Junior team that won gold at the 2008 World Junior Championships.
Drew Doughty of the Guelph Storm is second in the mid-season draft rankings behind Steve Stamkos. Doughty was also a key defenseman in the Canadian Junior gold metal winning team at the 2008 World Junior Championships. The only American in the top five is defenseman Zack Bogosian of the Peterborough Petes. Rounding out the top 5 draft Rankees are Kyle Beach of the Everett Silvertips and Alex Pietrangelo of the Niagara Ice Dogs.
