The Maple Leafs Possibly Hiring Fletcher by Tomorrow
TSN has a great article about the Maple Leafs dilemma regarding firing John Ferguson Jr. and hiring Cliff Fletcher. Fletcher is leaving to fly from
The article states, “One way or another, you have to figure Fletcher is getting on a plane to somewhere tomorrow.”
Right now the Maple Leafs just want to hire Fletcher though July 1st, when they would look for a full-time replacement. Fletcher wants more job security than that, being that he already has a job for the next year and a half in the Phoenix Coyotes organization.
Are the Maple Leafs willing to commit to Fletcher has a long-term General Manager or is the search for an interim GM still on for the Leafs.
