TSN has a story about the possible return of Teemu Selanne and how Ducks General Manager, Brian Burke feels about the situation. Here is a direct quote from Brian Burke about Selanne Returning or Selanne Retiring:
“I told his agent, if he makes any decision before the All-Star weekend is over, I’m going to wring his neck,” “There’s no reason to take away from (the All-Star Game),” “I told him, whatever his decision, it’s got to wait until after Atlanta. It’s not going to take away from the lustre of the All-Star weekend.”
In other words, don’t expect Selanne to pull an Alex Rodriguez, if Selanne returns to the Ducks, the earliest he will announce is on Monday and if Selanne decides to retire, the earliest we will hear is on Monday.
