Team Canada Wins AHL All Star Game
January 28th, 2008 | Posted by Wicked in AHLTeam Canada won the 2008 AHL All Star Game in Binghamton, NY 9-8 in a shootout. Teddy Purcell who was recently called up by the LA Kings had a hat trick for Team Canada and TJ Hensick had 2 goals and 2 assists for Planet USA.
The score was 7-5 Planet USA after the second period, but Team Canada outscored Planet USA 3-1 in the 3rd period to force the game into a shootout.
Ted Purcell also scored the game winning goal in the shootout propelling Team Canada to a 9-8 win in the AHL All Star Game. Ted Purcell was named the AHL All Star MVP.
