Teemu Selanne will Play 1st Game Tuesday Against Islanders

February 2nd, 2008 | Posted by Wicked in Anaheim Ducks

Teemu Selanne did not play tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, and it may be a costly decision as the Ducks are currently losing to the Flyers.

Teemu Selanne will be playing his 1st game of the season this Tuesday at the New York Islanders.  Selanne will more than likely be playing on a line with Doug Weight and Chris Kunitz.  The biggest issue for the line will be size and strength, because Weight is a non-phyisical player, Kunitz is undersized and Selanne only hits when required.

Selanne netted 48 goals last season and helped win the Stanley Cup for the Ducks, and now that the Ducks have both Niedermayer and Selanne back, they are eying a repeat.  I for one, strongly hope that does not happen.
