Senators Trade Eaves and Corvo to Hurricanes for Commodore and Stillman

Breaking news from tsn, the Hurricanes and Senators agree to a significant trade.  Mike Commodore and Cory Stillman have been traded to Ottawa and Patrick Eaves and Jor Corvo have been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. 

Commodore and Stillman are both unrestricted free agents at the end of this year and will significant experience to a hungry Ottawa Senators team who are currently sitting in 1st place in the Eastern Conference.

Eaves is a restricted free agent at the end of the year and Joe Corvo still has 2 years remaining on his contract.

    I was sorry when Commodore left the Flames after the 2004 Cup run, he’s a very solid defensive player and a real character as well. Stillman has matured into a fine two way player and should help your team in the playoffs.
