Mats Sundin is Staying in Toronto

Mats Sundin has made his final decision about being traded before the trade deadline.   Sundin refuses to waive his no trade clause and will remain a Toronto Maple Leaf.

“I cannot leave my teammates and join another NHL club at this time. I have never believed in the concept of a rental player…I hope everyone will understand and respect my decision”

Now that Sundin has made his decision, teams that were interested in Sundin can act in their best interests and move forward with other trades before the NHL Trade Deadline.
