Daniel Alfredsson will Miss Weeks with a Concussion
April 4th, 2008 | Posted by Wicked in Ottawa SenatorsDaniel Alfredsson got absolutely destroyed last night by mark Bell against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Alfredsson skated across the middle of the ice with his head down and took a shoulder to the head in a clean hit from Mark Bell. Alfredsson’s helmet went flying and Alfredsson had to struggle to get back to his feet.
Alfredsson came back for one more shift in the 2nd period before sitting out the rest of the game. While the Senators are calling Alfredsson’s injury an “upper-body injury”, although Alfredsson’s injury is surely a concussion. Team officials are saying that Alfredssson is out indefinitely and could miss many weeks. As it is the Senators need a little bit of luck to make the playoffs if the Senators lose to the Bruins tonight.
