The finalists for the Vezina Trophy for the NHL’s best goaltender have been announced. Martin Brodeur (3 time winner), Henrik Lundqvist and Evgeni Nabokov are the NHL’s 3 nominations for the historic trophy. Neither Lundqvist or Nabokov have ever been nominated for the honor as the NHL’s best goaltender, but Martin Brodeur has won the Vezina Trophy in 2003, 2004 and 2007.
Brodeur had an outstanding year finishing 2nd in the league in wins with 44, 2.17 g.a.a was 5th best and .920 save % was 4th best.
Nabokov won a league best 46 games, 2.14 g.a.a. was 4th best, and tied Brodeur for most games played with 77 games played this season.
Henrik Lundqvist won 37 games, posted a 2.23 g.a.a in 72 games playing for a hard-working Ranger’s team.
The winner will be announced after the season ends.

I THINK EVGENI WILL CAPTURE THE CROWN THIS YEAR. HE DESERVES IT MORE THAN BRODEUR AND HIS STATS ARE ASTOUNDING. HE HAS DEFINITELY BEEN EVERYTHING TO HIS TEAM AND HAS SINGLE HANDEDLY BEEN KEEPING THE SHARKS IN GAMES THAT THEY HAD NO BUSINESS BEING IN. BRODEUR IS AN AMAZING GOALIE AND ONE OF THE TOP 5 IN LEAUGE HISTORY BUT HE HAS ALREADY WON IT 3 TIMES. I THINK THE JUDGES WILL CONSIDER THAT AND TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT STATS AND TAPE TO DETERMINE THAT NABBY DESERVES IT A LITTLE BIT MORE…
