2009 AHL All-Star Classic Team Rosters

The rosters for the 2009 AHL All Star Classic have been released and will have the Canadian All Star team go head to head with the PlanetUSA All Star team with players from the U.S. and Europe. The 2009 AHL All Star game will be played on Monday January 26th and the skills competition will be played on Sunday January 25th. Without further adieu, here are the 2009 AHL All Star rosters:

Team Canada Wins AHL All Star Game

Team Canada won the 2008 AHL All Star Game in Binghamton, NY 9-8 in a shootout. Teddy Purcell who was recently called up by the LA Kings had a hat trick for Team Canada and TJ Hensick had 2 goals and 2 assists for Planet USA.

The score was 7-5 Planet USA after the second period, but Team Canada outscored Planet USA 3-1 in the 3rd period to force the game into a shootout.

Ted Purcell also scored the game winning goal in the shootout propelling Team Canada to a 9-8 win in the AHL All Star Game.  Ted Purcell was named the AHL All Star MVP.
